About the Author
Heather Burford, author referenced as H.E. Burford, is a retired High School English teacher and writing professor, currently living in the small coastal town of Mathews, Virginia. She is originally from Zanesville, Ohio and spent much of her life in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She has been married to her husband, Chris, for almost 27 years and has three grown children, Chloe, Kristian, and Caleb. Aside from writing, Heather enjoys spending time with her beagles and cats and being in the sunshine. She holds an Associate’s of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus in writing and poetry, a Master of Teaching Degree in Teaching English Education, and a Doctorate in Teacher Leadership, ABD. She is currently working on a series of novels, children’s books, and a collection of education-based books, all with intent of distribution by early 2025. In the Moment is her first published novel. It is the first of a series of three novels, dubbed, The Moment Series, focused on the fictional town of Fary Banks, Maine. The second in the series, From This Moment On, is scheduled to be published in December of 2024. The third and final novel in the series, Moments like These, will be available in early Spring, 2025.
My Vision
Here at Books By H.E. Burford, I am committed to spreading the joy of reading and making it an enjoyable and accessible activity for all. I envision a world where reading is a celebrated and integral part of everyday life. I am excited to launch The Moment Series in 2024 and early 2025 followed by educational resources, short stories, and a new novel series, as well as children's books in 2025. Variety is important, and my goal is to provide reading material that reaches every audience and age group.

Founded in 2024, Books By H.E. Burford was born out of a love for books and a desire to share that passion with others. My education in English, Writing, and Teaching, has fueled my enthusiasm for sharing the written word. Welcome to the adventure! new novel series
